Getting to Broacay

To get to Boracay from Manila, take a short one-hour flight to Caticlan Airport (Godofredo P. Ramos Airport).
From there, it’s a quick 10-15 minute ride to the ferry terminal, followed by a short ferry trip to Boracay.
Once you arrive, local transport like tricycles or private shuttles can take you to your accommodation.
You will be able to book these transfers in advance through your hotel or with private companies. Options can be found HERE.

PLEASE NOTE: Upon entering Boracay you will be required to pay a terminal and environmental fee, totalling at 300 PHP ($8 AUD).

Where to Stay

Most of the action happens around White Beach, and for the best experience, we recommend staying in Station 1, where the sand is soft, the vibe is peaceful, and the views are unbeatable.

Our wedding celebrations will take place at The Lind Boracay, a gorgeous beachfront resort in Station 1.

If you’d like to stay close to the festivities, The Lind is an excellent choice.

We have organised for our guests to receive a discounted rate through the Lind.

Currency and Payments

The local currency in Boracay is the Philippine Peso (PHP). While most major establishments accept credit cards, cash is required for travel and with smaller vendors.

There are ATMs around the island, but keep in mind that fees may apply, so it’s best to have some cash on hand for convenience.

Tips are not expected by workers in the Philippines but are always welcome.

Visa Requirements

You can enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of 30 days or less.

You must register your travel to and from the Philippines on the eTravel online portal within 72 hours of arrival. Once complete, you will receive a QR code to use for arrival and departure formalities.

FAQs

How do I get to my hotel from the airport?

The Lind and other large resort chains offer return transfers from the airport, including sea transport.

These transers can be purchased at the time of your accomodation booking.

Who should I fly with? (Arriving in Boracay)

Cebu Pacific offers direct bookings from Sydney to Caticlan, stopping over in Manila.

However, if you would like to book your domestic flight from Manila to Caticlan separately, we also recommend AirAsia and Philippine Airlines.

Should we extend our stay to explore Boracay?

Absolutely! Boracay is a stunning destination with beautiful beaches, water sports, and nightlife. Consider extending your trip to make the most of it and go island hopping!

Do we need to arrange our own transportation from the airport to the resort?

Most resorts in Boracay offer airport transfer packages that include the ferry. Alternatively, you can book these services upon arrival at Caticlan Airport.

Most people stay along White Beach, divided into three stations:

The Lind is located in Station 1 so we recommend staying in either Station 1 or 2.
